I was a producer on this animation-archive hybrid.

‘Extract. Destroy. Repeat.’ was commissioned as a Waterbear original in 2022 to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of deep sea mining. Waterbear wanted help telling a story that would drive awareness and action. They had access to deep sea archive footage but needed to build a narrative around it that would engage the audience. I helped pull the team together and craft the story.

The result is “Extract. Destroy. Repeat” which follows new employee Stan on his first day at work with the Happy Metals Company, a mining conglomerate with a surf-bro CEO in a dystopic a near future… 2023.
